Too many Gravesend people on this site

They like Dover fans are undermining Margate FC. Can't wait for a proper MFC forum.

Gravesend may gloat at the moment but they will have to get out of Stonebridge Road next year as their woodden stands will have to be demolished. Ground-share with Gillingham??

Most of the Gravesend fans, like Dover ones, seem OK to me, at least you can have a bit of footy banter with them. A great many of them have been very supportive of us in our troubles.

We have our share of wind up merchants too, all part of the rich tapestry of forum life I would have thought.

I haven't forgotten how this site was made available to us when ours closed down, we should not forget how grateful we were then to have this facility at all.

If you bothered to check this site out PROPERLY then you will see that it is home to several different clubs.

This forum is your proper Margate forum - fans of other clubs can access it, yes - but I believe that was also possible with your old one.

As one of your peers has pointed out, the admins of this site helped you out in your time of need.

Have we? Says who? The ground-share idea is more Gillingham's idea than ours (as they are considering the 'franchise football route' and possibly moving out of Medway) but our club already has ideas of its own ideas concerning a new ground. I wouldn't hold too many expectations of us sharing with Gillingham.

BTW..... no where in the ground criteria are wooden stands forbidden. We do, however, reach the required criteria for conference entry unlike a certain other Kent club that demoted themselves.

You needn't worry though as we won't be knocking the current one down until a new one is built. I mean, no club would be stupid enough to do that, would they?

Sorry if I've upset any of the proper Margate forum regulars but the anonymous twat's comments needed an answer.

To be fair Nonleague.com kindly offered us a forum so that we could still post etc. I have tried to keep it moderated lately, but have been busy (just finished 1st year at college). This forum will remain open as long as nonleague.com keep it open, which should be quite a while. Margate-fc.com don't look like making a forum, so all you moaners are going to have to use this one, or no forum at all. Live with it, we have more problems to face than weather or not this forum is good enough.

Stuart.

At the end of the day this is a Margate Supporters forum moderated by a true Margate fan (cheers Stuart) so I cannot see a problem with it.

Plus if 'Margate Fan'/s are going to post on here perhaps they could (i) register,(ii) choose an alias a bit different from mine! Their views certainly are.

Other clubs - like the one I follow - insist that persons register, otherwise they cannot post.

You'll have to weigh-up the pros and cons if you decide to follow suit.

As someone mentioned above...there are other features [and clubs] on this site in which you can contribute...like the Euro 2004 thread [currently gloating about the Italians and Germans - hee hee] or The Pub, where we love a good rant!

However, once you are registered you can post on any site, not just the one that you registered with.
