I'm still listening to the Stone Roses!!!!!! Brilliant album!!!!!!

Had it wake my up this morning actually!!!!!!!!!!

I did however find that their style of music sounded more 1960's style (sort of) rather than the 1980's rock type. I think this is why it stands out to me as well.

Yeah. Not with me, though.

You can borrow my CD of Stone Roses b-sides 1988-1990 too. One of the few bands (along with Oasis and the Beatles) whose b-sides are as good, and in places even better than their album tracks.

Stone Roses b-sides like Standing Here, Mersey Paradise and Going Down are just sheer class.

The first three tracks on the Stone Roses album you borrowed (I Wanna Be Adored, She Bangs The Drums and Waterfall) are just faultless. I cannot think of another album that has such an incredible trio of songs to start things off.

And I hope you don't just listen to the first half and then switch it off, because the final four songs on the album - Made Of Stone, Shoot You Down, This Is The One and I Am The Resurrection - are simply majestic.

I have listened to both albums that you told me to listen to through at least three times.

You told me to listen to Jodi Mitchel 3 times in a dark room (which i have done) and i then listened to the Stone Roses i dunno how many times now, coz i recorded the album onto my MP3 player and i listened to it in Magaluf on the beach!!!!!!!!!!

She Bangs The Drums

I can feel the earth begin to move

Hear my needle hit the groove

And spiral through another day

I hear my song begin to say

Kiss me where the sun don't shine

The past was yours but the future's mine

You're all out of time

I don't feel too steady on my feet

I feel hollow I feel weak

Passion fruit and holy bread

Feed my gut and ease my head

Through the early morning sun

I can see her, here she comes

She bangs the drums

Have you seen her have you heard

The way she plays there are no words

To describe the way I feel

How could it ever come to pass

She'll be the first she'll be the last

To describe the way I feel

The way I feel
