This is one way of doing it........

......These are extracts from another site that I spotted on here this morning. Royal Heath Rangers play in the Midland Alliance. Food for thought here.....

"Royal Heath Rangers have sensationally announced the following issues at a Press Conference in Birmingham. Chairman Mark Hitchcock announced the following measures for the forthcoming season in a radical shake up of the team:

Worth sacked as Treasurer as Club is suspended from League:

"I sacked Barry on Saturday from his treasury post as there are concerns he has not taken the post seriously enough, also that he had not paid Scott's fines which now find us banned until they are paid. I will be paying off all fines we owe to get us back into the league but this will be the last time I bail out this club.

Manager Neil Morris Resigns:

I also let Neil Morris pursue other interest and accepted his resignation as manager. Neil will carry on as a player and will try to get fit from his finger injury to fight for his keeper's place next season. The club has turned down his suggestion of signing on as a centre back and will only look at him in a keeper capacity.

......

We never received half the signing on fees and subs were not collected properly most of the time. THIS HAS TO CHANGE OR THE CLUB WILL NOT SURVIVE.

If we can not find a sponsor then we will be using the Nike yellow kit as a first team kit and the white kit only when we have colour clashes.

The signing on fees must be paid early this year as this will pay for league registration and part of the pitch fees, more money needs to be raised and any ideas from club members will be gratefully received.

I will be introducing a financial page onto the website where it will show if you have paid your subs and registration fee plus any fines accrued. The clubs finances will be open and available funds will be visible on the finance page.

New club fees (Payable from June 14th 2004) - ( All signing on fees must be

paid by August 3rd 2004)

Players in full time employment

Training subs £2

Match subs £5

Signing on fee £25

Any player not in full time employment

Training subs £1

Match subs £1.50

Signing on fees £7.50

Training

The new season starts in late August so training will start in mid June. I have asked Ian Vogel to canvass players to see if people want to train in the week at night or on a Sunday morning. My personal thoughts are a Wednesday night on Kings Heath Park on Vicarage Rd. Its pretty central and free. Also, it keeps wife's and girlfriends off your backs for not ruining their weekends.

.....

I will be arranging 4 friendlies for late July early August to get match fitness. Also, the training will not be fitness sessions but football based. There will be a warm up but then we will be working on set pieces, shooting, passing, heading, tackling etc. The last 30-40 minutes will always be a game. I believe in enjoying training. Because of this I expect players to do some fitness work in their own time, each individual player knows how much he needs to do.

Training will be open to all comers and I hope to see some new faces. If any of our existing players have friends they wish to introduce to the club they are more than welcome. I am also going to put some posters up around Kings Heath advertising the fact we are looking for new blood.

There will be training in the week during the season, I know some of you go to training on Mondays but I feel this is to close to Saturday, I will be introducing Training on a Wednesday or Thursday night. If you still wish to go to the Monday nights session then all the better. This training will again be football based and give us chance to work on things noticed from the weekends game.

New Manager Appointed

As for myself I will be taking over first team affairs from Monday 7th June when Neil Morris's contract expires. I will sign on as a player but am looking to play only if required. I have a few different ideas on management from my predecessor and these will become apparent very quickly.

Awards

The match report duty will be given to different players (with computer access) each week. There will be a Man Of The Match given at the end of every game, I will ask the ref at the end of the game for our MOTM and a trophy will be awarded at the end of the season for the player with the most MOM's. Also the MOM will only pay half their subs on the next match day.

Any player scoring a goal will also knock 35p off there match fee, hat-tricks and more will knock £2 of the match fee. All moneys knocked off match fees by players achievements will be made up to the club by the manager.

I will also be giving a score out of ten and a few comments on every player for every game. The player with the most points at the end of the season will win the Player of the year award.

New Club Rules

As the manager I will be introducing some new rules to the club involving match days and training, these will be concerning arriving on time, having clean boots, payments of subs, and drinking together more after games and during the week. Fines will be put in place to back up the new rules.

I want to build a closer team and a few rules never did anyone any harm. I feel that rules bring a club together and give the members a sense of responsibility and belonging plus also give an air of professionalism and I intend to maximise this to the full.

.....

I look forward to seeing you all for the new season in mid June and hope that we can reach the goals we know we are capable of. We did not play a team we were not able to beat last season and I see no reason for that to change. In which case we should be in a position where we could and should win every match. If not for a disastrous start last year we may have been promoted, lets not make the same mistake twice, lets go for it right from the start and that means preparation.

TRAINING IS YOUR PREPARATION, be there at the beginning of something special, ROYAL HEATH RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB 2004.

See you all soon

Mark Hitchcock

Manager

Chairman"

I quite liked the current goalkeeper/manager, sacked from the latter role, who is injured [finger] and wants to play in the outfield until it heals, presumably.

The idea of players paying subs to play is one that I have floated for The Mighty Saints on here a couple of times. Half the playing sub the following game for the MotM is quite an incentive.

I'm not so sure about the Chairman taking over as Manager and signing playing forms, however.
