I notice from the Official web-site that the Club is appealing for matchday stewards for next season.

 

The rather clever advertisement on the news page refers to "Free entrance/programme provided plus a nominal fee per game".

 

Out of curiousity, how much is the 'nominal fee'?

AFF, if I can answer on Webbo's behalf, these were the exact words conveyed to me in an official email from the club. No figure was mentioned.

 

I would think a sliding scale would be appropriate depending on the opposition. £1.50 for Fordbridge/Purfrock/Basingstoke etc, £5 for Weymuff/Hornchurch, £10 for Newport County <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Perhaps "Free entrance & matchday programme" would have been more appropriate than "Free entrance/programme provided", unless, of course, it's actually intended to offer applicants a choice of one or the other.
