And why? Okay I'll admit that "Long Haired Lover From Liverpool" is tripe, as also "Puppy Love" et al. But "Crazy Horses", "Let Me In" (a far better version that was recently produced) and the album "The Plan" are not that bad. Especially "Crazy Horses".

To think, the '70's and to some degree the '80's charts were far better than what is going on now. I watched TOTP last week for the first time and cringed at most of what was being produced.

I'd even go as far to say "Hail to the Bay City Rollers" when comparing to the sh*t the kids have to put up with these days.

JR...are you coming out there...

And lets not forget the Temptations.....(if we're going down the route of soul)...."Papa Was A Rolling Stone" is a TUNE!!! Soul with attitude. And it was in the charts...is there anything that can match that quility nowadays. No!!!

I don't think Robbie has made an album to beat the first one altho Swing When Your Winning is quite good. Mr Bojangles being my fav track. The disapointemnt of the whole album is Mack The Knife...he just ain't got the presence of vocal to "cut it" on that track in my mind.

he is an average singer.. it was his gay songwriter/manager that was the talent.. and like all fat twats he binned him .. he will do nothing from now on of any note (pun intended)..

I take it from the recent news that Robbie is back with his songwriter and going back to the "band" type of image he had when he started his solo success.

And yep, "Crazy Horses" was all about pollution and cars. The nearest they got to a protest song.
