Thursday's Game

Well, I shan't be watching down the Crown.

 

It was full of ignorant warehousemen last night who know fk all about the game. Just shouting out rubbish at the screen like "defend for fks sake", or "fking get it out!" and similar cliched nonsense.

 

Was less than impressed that Ben got a smack in the face from one of these díckheads too.

 

So.. it's a bottle of wine (not french), some cheese (not Swiss!) and biscuits, and my feet up with my good lady wife on Thursday night, to watch the game in peace and quiet without having to worry about a bunch of thick twats ruining my evening (no jokes about Gerrard and Heskey, please!).

 

The Crown used to be great for England games. Unfortunately, when the Crown changed 18 months back, so did its clientelle.

Small screens, so i actually couldnt see any of the game.

Too busy

Twats behind the bar who didnt know how to pour a pint.

No singing and when there was it was really cringeable. ( Apart from when we sung efm songs.

Loads of guys who buy an england shirt and then think that their just as much an england fan than anyone else.

To many girls. ( i take blame for some of that. )

Road works going on outside the pub.

No low roof to thump.

Loads of common people who dont know how to deal with their beer.

EFM had a good turn out. My guess 30 of us.

 

Cant wait to watch the quaters semi and final in Delh, India

Zeal. I think you may well find "that sort" in any pub. know nothing fools. Do they have a large screen at the conservative club? I wonder as games are on terrestial, could the club house open? Brew? ok small screens but has it's advantages.

Yeah well, you lot were lucky, I ended up in The Camp and some bloke tried to pick a fight with me! Unbelievable! And some bird burnt me with her cigarette, although not on purpose- I hope!

I watched the game, on my own, but did have the pub effects (ie, a punch up) after them game, on my door step, so i really don't feel as though i missed out on much.

 

Thursdays game will be a laugh!!!!! Watching it with 2 great friends of mine (who i love dearly!!!!!!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we are doing the Crown again on Monday, quite a few of us are getting down there for 4pm, it wasn't too bad for the Swiss game, not many warehousemen but still a few too many girls!

If it's crap though I'll suggest a change to the Hare and Hounds for the QF to the final!

 

Remember that when you are faced with such idiots like that were there for the French game just strut around like you are superior and own the place, which of course we are/do <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
