Thanks again to bluebloods post about article in I of T Gaz.

 

Thought a bit more about the quote attributed to CK-''I can't wait to get going''.

 

Maybe we should all adopt that or paraphrase it to 'raring to go'

 

Think we all need a bit of inspiration/ leadership here and if it comes from CK what could be better.

 

Enthusiasm ,just like negativity is infectious, so if we can follow CK's lead and show some enthusiasm, it may spread far and wide amongst supporters, officials ,players and potential players alike.

 

Thus i've decided to be 'raring to go'(for a while anyway !!).

 

Glad to here CK being enthusiastic, since somehow at start of last season ,we did not quite seem 'raring to go' on the pitch.

Players fitness levels were excellant ,but something was lacking.

Indeed was not CK himself on holiday during a few pre-season friendlies-not too clever imo.

 

If this year CK 'can't wait to get going'maybe we will get off to a good start for a change(first year in conference excepted).

Yes Indeed raring to go, if an enthusiastic manager can get the players to match we could be going places again.

 

I feel Pulman could be very inspirational this year, being a Thanet boy as well. but how about this for a bit of inspiration in our side.... Billy Edwards for captain, surely thats a gimme?!?!?

Being optimistic and being raring to go wont improve our chances for getting that damn ground started, though I obviously see your point.

Being raring to go dosen't mean too much without the most important and MORE important thing of getting the ground back so we can show off this optimism and then not just be raring to go but actually "GO".

After your practicle, considered post you should now know why i adressed my post to you. i have to say though CK was not always alone in being on holiday during the pre season. I believe Leon also missed some time as they are both teachers they cannot leave there posts before the end of the terms.

Cookie-in my mind i've sort of written off the ground for another 12 months.

Hope i'm wrong.

 

I'm assuming that there is another 12 months of all away matches, but at same time, its the team i support .

 

Appreciate thats possibly a bit easier for me, when in fact its easier for me to get to away matches anyway, whereas local supporters will feel totally different.

 

Again i've 'parked' the ground and leave that to the club and politicians amongst us .

Its important "yes" but to me and others, I feel, getting back home is MORE important and thats why we have dropped a league to do just that!

You are right-that is the published reason why we have dropped a division and sacrificed something good.

Something inside me says that demotion could have been fought a bit harder,and decision had as much to do with funding the football side.

 

Anyway, thats history, decision was made, we've all cried and now were getting on with it in the brave new world of conf.south.

It will probably turn out to be the right decision-maybe take pressure oof to regroup.

Certainly have to give it to the

 

Board(whoever they are) for not allowing a

 

Telford situation.
