Keeping the faith. It's an ETFC thing

Recommended Posts

It's not that difficult to support a side that has won six trophies in three years. The real test comes from adversity and how you react to setbacks. Chopper got it right on a previous post when he made a plea to keep the faith. We're going to have to suck it in for a while and rise above the taunts as I don't believe a reversal of this decision is ever going to happen.

If Andy and the players are already talking about remaining loyal to the club no matter what league we are in, the best we can do is get behind them with our support and stop squabling amongst ourselves. Far from boycotting the away ESL games, I suggest we make our presence there more known than ever. If that means scaring the life out of opposition keepers with 30 horns blasting away as he takes his kicks then lets do it. We have the support, so lets use it to our advantage! Mobilise the troops!!!! Get the T-Shirts printed!!!! Let's do it the way we should have done it last season!!!!

Finally, despite all the s**t coming our way, what our critics don't understand is that we have come through a hell of a lot of setbacks and tasted success as well by STICKING TOGETHER as a team.

4th place doesn't usually get a change of league (sideways promotion sounds better). Let's do it properly, win the thing and move on.

Winning a league usually DOES get a change of league, but that didn't happen to us the season before last....As you say Neil,we've been through a lot.

I don't think anyone mentioned boycotting away games, none of us would do that...some may baulk at lining the pockets(through Bar sales) of the sort of people that are taking the p*ss,at present...That's their choice.

I don't think we should lie down and admit defeat just yet...Some FA and Ryman officials have some serious explaining to do....And if it is correct that ETFC would be offered a Ryman2 place if Ilford are not voted-in on the 22nd of June, all is not lost.

well said Neil, we have been thru' more over the last few years, than any club in R2 or ESL.

We have acheived more in the last 3 years than any club in NLP

So let's pick ourselves up; dust ourselves down and start all over again.

Having said, that there is a helluva lot of work to be done to retain sponsors, coaches, players, helpers and supporters.

Do we really want to get involved with people who "run" a league this way as their last, poor option?

We will look back on this in years to come and smile at our good fortune.

These three years have been wonderful and no gate-slammer is going to distract us from the ploughing the furrow were are ploughing of success and more success.

You aint seen nothing yet!
