Southall Town ceased to exist, as of yesterday.

 

Brentwood used to be called Brentwood Town many years ago. My understanding is that they are using their 50th anniversary to revert to their original name. Their youth teams in the Eastern Junior Alliance have always been called Brentwood Town.

Don't I remember that Manor Athletic used to play in local junior football.

 

They were in either the Romford & District League or Southern Essex Combination which was the league above it but run prettywell by the same officials.

 

Len Chitty was one of these who still has a local cup named after him I believe.

 

I wish I could run as fast now as I could then!
