Oh ! - I forgot ......

Recommended Posts

In all the trauma of the "hot" AGM news last night, we forgot to mention that two clubs have changed their name for next season... Brentwood are now Brentwood Town FC and Bowers United are Bowers and Pitsea FC.

Thanks Mr Chairman for that update.

May I ask my perennial question now that the AGM

is over as to how many league games will each team have to play next season or is the ESL 15/16 team structure still up in the air because of the ETFC/Foxes thing?

Stop changing the subject and deal with the ONLY thing people are talking about....An official statement would be nice.

But ,Lovely Stuff, the matter in hand re ETFC and Ilford FC is solely between the FA and the Ryman League so how can you expect the Chairman of the Essex Senior League to make a statement on a situation which is totally outside his remit????

He has kept a dignified silence throughout the distillation of the affair other than fighting the corner for his beloved ESL and, as far as I am aware, administers this under the watchful eye of the FA just like any other league in the non-league pyramid. On this basis this situation has absolutely nothing to do with him.

All this thrashing about and attacking innocent individuals is not going to help your cause one little bit.

I lay no blame on the ESL chairman,i would have done the same in his shoes, BUT he and other leagues vehemently lobbied the FA, regarding their members joining Ryman2.How can you say the situation was totally 'outside his remit'.

Saying that, we ALL know who the real villian(s) of the piece are.

Stop being so petty, LS! Other than vehemently lobbying the FA against their decisions, what else do you think the League Chairman could have done?

Oh, and he did release an official press statement last night which I posted on the Ryman 2 board for everyone's benefit. As Poster Bill says, I don't think it is the League Chairman's place to make any further comment.

How's it being 'petty' to state that the ESL chairman's stance didn't help ETFC in gaining Ryman status?.[just stating facts]..I went on to say that i didn't blame him for that stance OR think he was the main reason for the discision.I am more upset with the reaction from fellow ESL people to the announcement.

ls what esl people are you refering to?

altough you would obviously rather be in the ryman, we (wafc) are pleased you are back. the money you lot bring to our club really goes a long way, we got a lot done frm it this year. abbeynut wll cnfirm but i believe you may of bought the new fridges behind the bar!

i think ilford deserved it on league pos but afte being invited i do believe you hae been treated harshly.

also this forum was going a bit quiet!

a serious question now. players who returned from ilford to play ryman football....what will they do now? will they go backto ilford and deny tha they were ever leaving? or stick to their guns. will ilford want them back?

foxy well dne and good luck in the ryman....ps thak gd we dont have to play on your pitch again! also is it windy their 365 days a year?
