I think you should be worrying more about the Lawyer than me tonight. He got a 49 break recently on our table, admittedly it is only half size, but the previous record on that table was 35 by me.

 

I predict a close match tonight, with me just edging it.

Believe me, a 49 break on a quarter-size (in area) table with those little kiddy-size balls does not worry me!!

I'd agree with you normally, but we've both been working a lot on our break building, playing on that table is very good training cos the pots are easier, leaving us to concentrate on positioning of the cue-ball.

 

I realise I'm setting myself up for a huge fall by saying all this!

snooker, an excellent way to pass the time whilst boozing.. unfortuanatly i am crap at it, i believe my best break is 1 or maybe a fluky 6 or something

No, I think he'd just say that it was his highest break on a small table. I still think it's very impressive, it can actually be harder to get position on that table cos the balls aren't quarter size so you have a lot less room for manouverability

Can't exactly remember, she said you should have had it, but she'd let you off. I think they may have made you a new one, but on the other hand, you might have said you'd be able to find the old one? Might be worth giving them a ring to check

 

Should still be find for 4.15, but am currently waiting to meet someone here, then have to go to bank in Harpenden, then back to St A, but should all still be on time. I'll let you know if I'm going to be late.

 

Do you fancy a bet to back up your claim of winning every frame?

So she definitely didn't give me my membership card as we left last time, then? I would phone, but frankly can't be arsed. If I have to pay £2 to come in as a guest, well... bothered.

 

To bet that I'd win every frame would be a little foolish, if offered only evens.

 

Happy to have a bet that I'll win the contest though, as long as we decide exactly how many frames we're playing beforehand!
