Even so Nath, it's not really the right time to make light of their current situation. We may be in a similar position in a few years when we might be needing their help....

Hear Hear, Gary! These guys are in deep trouble and some of their fans have been putting up some serious money to try and help their club - more strength to their arm. Others, less well off, are still doing as much as they can supporting activities to raise money.

 

Any club in our league going out of business weakens us all, and we need to give them every support in their fight to keep going. And who knows what happens to us in two years time - no ground built by then and the ground share deal at an end....

 

We need to support the Trust and the Committee - Chris Sliski is right, we need to have a contingency plan in place, otherwise we could find ourselves in the same boat.

In addition to what I posted above, I wouldn't wish anything similar to what we had to go through during the summer of 1998 on any other club (even Windsor!), but it appears Tonbridge are set for going through it. Hope it works out for them and they can keep going just as we did. We'll see how much the players really care about the club now or whether they are simply there for the money alone....
