The One's that got Away .................

As it's a quiet time on the forum i thought i would post this. I was going to post this a couple of months ago but as three of the players released, where by the then manager i felt it would be unfair.

There has been alot of coming and goings at HFC over the last two seasons i felt i would post my view on the players that i feel we where wrong to release. Obviously this is all in hine sight and easily said now.

Nathan Elder : Ok so a bit of a shock one. I think he left due to personal problems but now he has settled after his tour of Essex (playing for no fewer than five clubs in Essex this season). He really seems to have matured and scoring 16 goals this season for a low placed Aveley is nothing to be scoffed at. Still young and I'm guessing will get better and better.

Chris Moore : When a player is released and he joins a team in a higher league, you automatically get a little worried that the club have made a mistake, and with Chris Sweeping the board at the Gravesend & Northfleet End of Season Awards, collecting 3 prizes. Maybe we did <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. Playing Devils Advocate we did have the best defense in the league last season.

Lloyd Opara : Not universally popular with the fans , but a player i feel will go on to very good things. The fast skillful attacker joined Grays for free, scoring more goals in 4 games than for us in 15, looks set to join second divison Swindon.

Jude Sterling : Argublly the best player to ever play for Hornchurch. The tough tackling full back added skill and pace to the right wing. Left us over poor time keeping and currentlly recovering from a bad injury.

can't disagree there U....add keeling and ollie and it looks...on face value....pretty poor from the clubs poiunt of view....

there are however always reasons behind these player movements and of course ollie and kilo come into the 'part time' catagoury that GH will not have....nowt wrong there from the clubs point of view...

nath was never quite managed properly in my opinion and nor were jude and lloyd....

chrissie was just a personality thingy

happens all the time I'm afraid...at all levels...
