Yes we do and I know Lee Charles gets on very well with the STFC players as he played with a few of them at Hayes. John Nutter comes from Burnham I think o he's local and Browne tried to sign Chewins. Would they drop down 2 levels though?

Eddie's on holiday in Greece for one or two weeks now apparently, so I don't think anything will be happening at the mo.

Also Nutter gave me out lbw in a staff vs sixth form cricket match and it was a truly shocking decision.

But Boot has left already and others should follow. Speaking of which, I read that Hodges' trial at Oxford apparently didn't go well, so does anyone know about his other one at Yeovil? And whether he has any more lined up?

Sadly, Rebelboy may be right. I have emailed the Council to ask them for a possible timetable for the ground assuming the Feasibility study is positive. The official line is that the Feasibility study is proceeding and should report sometime in September give or take a week or so. It will then go out to public consultation, but no time is available for how long that will be.

As a result of the public consultations, it will then go back for redesign of the proposals. Only when those are complete will it go to the council for approval, again no time lines available. But it will already have taken over 18 months from announcing the feasibility study to completion. So I would estimate at least another 12 months for the completion of these stages.

After that, presumably it will go out for detailed designs, (9 - 12 months), planning application and approval (6 to 9 months), then tender and financing,(3 to 6 months) before anybody gets a chance to start building anything. Construction and allowing a new ground to settle plus creating the surrounding infrastructure has to be at least another 18 months to 2 years. On current track records, I still think my estimate that the start of playing season of 2010 looks about right for a completed ground, ready to play on.

Anybody got a better estimate?
