I see Big Brother is back this week, new series on Ch.4.

 

The 1st year, I got hooked, I watched it all the time, every year since, I make a promise to myself not to watch it until 2-3 weeks to go, once you start watching it, they have you, you are hooked. They make it difficult for you to avoid it though, the Radio Stations talk about it and it is in the Papers.

 

The Sad thing is there is nothing to get you hooked apart from the voting.

 

Determined not to watch it, see if I can last this time. Mrs Flag is not aloud to discuss it, as she listens to the radio all day.

I have to confess I did apply to be on the show before the first series back in 2000 but have not considered it since. I had seen some of the original BB in the Netherlands and thought it sounded like a good concept for a tv show. However, having seen who has (dis)graced the BB house over the last few years I'm pretty glad that I was an unsuccessful applicant. I don't think to many of those who have emerged from the house have gone on to live normal lives or find fulfillment.

 

Got to be said though, I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping an eye on it when it starts. I seem to remember texting somebody when I was in France last year to find out who had been evicted. Pretty sad isn't it? <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I can't stand it! The first two series were ok, but after that it got rubbish.

Apparantly they're going to make the living conditions really hard to cope with, they have selected contestants who they think are going to argue alot. And I think I heard something about there is going to be couple in there too.

I for one won't be watching, but I'll probably be dragged in to watching it when everyone starts talking about it!!

I always say I'm NEVER going to watch it, but usually end up watching bits of it. Bring back another Jade Goody ! I thought she was brill ! (SERIOUSLY !) I see she's split up with her partner recently. Unfortunately for her, I've still got 'Er Indoors !!

Far too early for me to start watching yet, it goes on for about another 2 months.

 

I assume that early doors they are all acting up to the camera, join once it settles down, if at all.

Mrs Meldrew does nothing else apart from watch it at the moment.

 

I can see some serious rows coming up when Portugal 2004 starts. And that's a bad time to start rowing - once the competition has started. So some serious foreplanning is needed.
