Jeff King puts on more pounds....

Recommended Posts

.... to Canvey's admission price next season. It will now cost you a nice fat 11 nicker to visit the worst ground in the conference. If you're an OAP/Student, don't worry you're wallet will be feeling lighter as well, £8 for you. Whilst tomorrows supporters, the little kiddies will be fleeced of thier pocket money to the tune of £5.

This fecking winds me up big time.

Ironically, it's through playing football and contributing to the Non-League football scene that some of us received these injuries.....and effectively, people are being penalised for having these medical conditions.

As for the kids' prices....Canvey and Purfrock were the worst offenders I came across last season. Puts you off going, especially when your children wanna bring a mate or two along!

Clubs get their money back through the copious amounts of burgers and soft drinks they have while at the match!

And they say children are the future of "the Game" and of clubs...future supporters and potential players!

Some clubs pay lip service to this "adage", but do little to realise it.

Perhaps this is why Canvey's attendance is notoriously low?

Canvey's gates are so low because by the time they have shoehorned Jeff King into the ground there is no room for anyone else!

i reckon we could benefit from this. any floating fan is going to think twice abouting parting with 11 quid to visit that hovel. if we say reduce our price to £7, we could entice floating fans with a cheaper afternoon. Our town juniors scheme where you can sign your child up where they effectivly get a season ticket for a quid is superb
