IRON SECURE FIVE-FIGURE PROGRAMME SPONSORSHIP

Free programme printing for three years - in a sponsorship worth over £30,000

Braintree Town Football Club have concluded a three-year sponsorship agreement for the Iron matchday programme with North London printers RedRoseRepro. The North London firm will donate the full-colour programme to the Club and Chairman Lee Harding was delighted with their support: “Most clubs at our level pay four to five hundred pounds each match to produce a matchday programme of a reasonable quality. Over a 25-game campaign, that could cost over £10,000. Not only are our Club benefiting from having the programme produced free, we now also have a top-quality product that we can generate additional matchday sales revenue from, plus far higher advertising income. Generally, it’s another step in further improving the professional image we wish to portray at this Club.”

Now I thought Mr Harding owned a printing firm called Queensway - who print the SACFC programmes.

Maybe we should have a word with "RedRoseRepro" I wonder if they are on the same number??!!

Hi Webbo.

By remarkable coincidence, I noticed that RedRoseRepro sponsored the Long Melford F.C. matchday programme last season.

I imagine that Gibbo would be reluctant to severe the relationship with Queensway after the stirling service that the company have provided The Mighty Saints over the years but it might be worth having a word with this new lot.

Will redroserepro be able to print the names of the team line up's in the middle of the program as opposed to that awful name at the top and little dot affair that leauge clubs adopt as they have squad numbers.

Because we used 93 players last season I was expecting a gatefold special in the final program but alas no!

1-16/17 or even 1-11 and five little shirts with "S" on would be ideal!

Not that I really care, I just want to be able to see who to blame!

I never buy the program anyway but when I read Laz's I expect to be informed!

I'm sure that the small but perfectly formed Committee what deals with the matchday programme will have registered that the centre spread with details of appearances etc wasn't one of their greatest triumphs last season, EFMTFTV.

They would do well to model next season's on the Braintree programme which had numbered shirts at the top of the page in the fashion you describe.

Oh, by the way. There's a slight exaggeration in your posting there.

62 different players appeared on the team sheet last season, 57 of whom [including 8 goal keepers] actually made it onto the pitch. 35 made their debut for The Club.

[Now you know why that chap is paid £50,000 a year to take the team sheet from the manager to the referee one hour before kick-off. He has to keep all of those names and their F.A. Registration numbers in his head!]
