I know i was in a minority, but i never rated Manny-lots of pace but can't deliver the killer ball, or finish.

 

Not as good a signing for Fleet as Jay and Porter.

 

A useful squad player to give variety as a sub. but not a 35 game a year conference player imo .

I reckon come Dec. Gravesend will be loaning him out just for a change

I will never forget on 90 mins when we got a free kick at Exeter. Manny curled it straight in to equalise 1-1.

Too right FleetFan, it's very galling to watch other clubs celebrate signings and plan for a new season, whilst we don't know who our team will be, where they will play, etc. etc.

Considering too what a brilliant team we had at the end of the season, how well they all played together, and at what level (which is now a memory). Hard to take.

I am not criticizing the club or the manager here, there is plenty they have to do, but lack of any information to go on makes it very difficult. Patience may be a virtue, but I was never that virtuous.

Words of support form the likes of your good self do help, however. So does having an outlet of like-minded people to communicate with on this forum.

By the way, are you anywhere near Elmira? (Went to school there for a bit)

Raquette Lake........about 130 miles north of Elmira......75 miles north of Utica on Route 28.

As to your plight i get mad at people who crow about the situation, when a lot of other non league(including their own)clubs could be in the same plight in a couple of years.....Fight on guys..Kent need you!

Anybody's team can meet hardship at some stage. That's footie.

The only team I've not felt particularly sorry for has been Leeds, whose current "demise" has more to do with their own financial mismanagement. Shame for the fans, I suppose...although they did lord it up a bit when they bought Rio off of us!

 

Seriously, wish you Margate supporters "all the best"...and although I've got no real allegiance to Kent, I'd much prefer a south-east team to be "in the fold" than a northern one!

It's a shame you have been "relegated" through no fault of your own, but much of last season the player's passion often got the better of them (particularly Sam) getting you a dreadful disciplinary record and costing you a lot of sympathy.

We at Fleet will miss the rivalry, banter and Xmas/New year derbies and wish you good luck and a swift return to the Conference (but not at our expense!).
