Can me and Laz have our Moderator status' returned, please?

 

As far as I'm aware, this board is still unofficial of SACFC, and as there's no link to our Official site either, then it's independent to Saintsnet also.

 

I fail to see why we still have to have "SACFC Moderator 1"-type cloak-and-dagger names. None of the other forums do.

I was appointed a moderator as I spend more time on here than most, so am able to delete messages like the BNP fanatic we had on here once and the time that bloke from Aldershot was leaving inciteful stuff on here.

 

Now I've had my moderator rights taken away from me like a naughty schoolboy, I am unable to do that.

 

I do not understand, now that this board is unofficial from the club and Saintsnet, why my rights were taken away.

Anyone know anything about Wishbone Ash?

 

Which albums should I buy??

OOOOO! Wahay! Colin. I've loads of Wishbone Ash albums!!!

 

Right....where do I begin?

 

The first album..."Wishbone Ash" [has cover of a burnt wishbone]

...is brilliant, earthy blues! As good as Led Zep's first album, in that it is raw and powerful. Wishbone Ash's pioneering "twin guitar" work is well prominent on this album. The one album of theirs I return to time and again. Got the original gatefold vinyl of it!

 

"Argus" [not the shop <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />] was a hit when it came out, and should be invested in.

Currently £6.99 for a remastered CD version on Amazon!

 

Can't remember if Pilgrimage was their second or third output. Again, it's worth getting.

 

I never got Wishbone Ash Four as it had been deleted for years. Just seen Amazon have it on CD now, so I'll be getting that myself. I think it was the last album with Andy Turner [guitarist] on it. You'll have to excuse my memory. Had a few beers since I was 14! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

The latter stuff is ok, like "New England" or "There's the Rub"....but are more polished and slightly lacking in inventiveness which characterised their first four albums.

 

"Live Dates" was a fairly good live album...but I'd seriously recommend you get "Wishbone Ash", "Pilgrimage" and "Argus"...and then investigate further.
