Eton Manor held their annual awards evening at the Maidstone Hilton Hotel last night, it turnred out to be a truly memorable event. A masive thanks to both John Skeats & Paul Tandy for organising the night, and a big " THANK YOU " to everyone that attended. A great night was had by all.

What a truly momentuous night for Eton Manor FC . Mrs LC and I were overwhelmed by the warmth of welcome and spirit in the camp, thanks to Paul, John, Larry, Alex and,. of course dear old Reg Curtis who stuck it out to the end despite having to play a Vets match today(at the tender age of 59) and we wish you all the very best sharing at Tilbury and in the future. As for this morning , it wasn't easy to get away from the Hilton Hotel in Maidstone when breakfast has delicacies such as Haggis and Tattie scones on the menu ... the whole works made up for the totally dismal performance at a sun baked Villa Park this afternoon which has made me appreciate a little more how you all feel when your side suffer defeat .. perhaps its not always quite understood by us neutrals and I hope I will have a little more understanding for the runners-up in future !

An interesting question bearing in mind the whole non-league re-structuring going on as I agree with Manor Born, it was no problem at all getting to Maidstone though I confess that going onward to places like Deal and Ramsgate is a bit of a trek .. but something to think about all the same !

Not necessarily but we all have to talk about the future and the "meeting of minds" connected with football at Step 5 in the South East of England and East Anglia will not be a bad thing. I can't imagine any of us will sit still in the coming months on this issue.
