New ground build

Seems to be resonable euphoria following decision, ostensibly because at least there is certainty over playing situation.

However, am i missing somethingre:the ground.

What has changed/been said to give certainty over ground build and pre-Xmas completion.

Is,nt the ground build dependent on the funders/developers getting planning permission for the commercial project and that seems some way off-will the developers/funders stick with it?

am i missing something

[color:"blue"]The difference is, I believe, that they're going ahead with the first stage of the Stadium build (which they have planning permission for). Their plan is that this build is allowed as part of their leaseholders obligation to make good any structures that have been demolished.

The Commercial build which will pay for the whole project is still under planning application.

The funding for this Stadium build is based around the projected costing for the minimum three years of a ten year groundshare at Dover(ie: £500k a year).

Thanks Peter,

can see logic, resoning, and necessity behind the (urgent)rebuild;but still unsure of how and who is funding ,if it is in isolation of the commercial development.

Assuming it does happen though, just hope it is not downgraded too much to avoid any future ground problems, should the club resurrect from the ashes to find itself in contention for conference national;or indeed, i believe by April next year , there is also a new standard for conf. south.

Do I understand that next season will be a ground share at Ashford until the new reduced stadium is built watched by half the previous number of fans and played by half the previous number of players?

Also with the prospect of going down to the same league as Dover and no prospect of promotion to the Full Conference?

[color:"blue"]As I understand it, it isn't a downgrade so much as a partial build(two sides). Then, once the full project has been approved with whatever amendments <hopefully during the season> the rest of the stadium can be put into place.
