Which now leaves the Conference with a bit of a problem. Northwich should have been reprieved but their ground isn't ready, so they are inelegible. So do Weymouth and Sutton play off to get promotion? If so, then whoever wins that will have a complete lack of time to prepare new signings/sponsors/travel arrangements for the new season.

 

Then of course, the Connie South will also be a team short, so who replaces them?? Then of course, it all filters down which may cause slight restructuring the leagues at our level. How slight? Depends on who replaces who I guess, but it is going to be a long summer for everyone (not just us this time!)

I may be wrong, but wasn't there a situation a couple of years back where the Unibond??? League consisted of 23 teams as one of them (Barrow???) pulled out and then went back in or something like that, then they sorted out the numbers properly the next year. Its another option, but obviously it plays havoc with the fixtures as every team will have odd weekends off.

Someone on the isthmian forum said that it all depends on which league Telfod join; they should start at level 5 but could conceivably join the Midland league (whatever it's called) and play at several leagues lower than that.

Roge may be right - North/South are relative terms! Farnborough is a Northern club to Eastbourne Borough, Telford is a southern club to Carlisle!
