What players will be left after todays news. Abbott,jinju and perhaps whitby. I would hate to loose smithy ,oates annon,clarke,Bill,and jake. che along with a fit Darren watson and the pacey ian pullman shouls make a potent strike force at this level. in my dreams i would love to see rocky and again a fit siggi stay as well. though i dont think we could afford them. What ever happens we should know in a few days as CK will need to get his house in order quickly. Come on the gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate lets reverse the trend and make it one step back and two steps forward. onwards and upwards.we are only seven or eight years away from playing the Gills.

I heard today that sodje and clarke left today(No great shock) but rocky is staying it might all be a load of [****!!****] but rumours have a habit of being the truth.

Abbott, Pulman, Sigere, are all still on contract. Oates and Smith apparently are as well. though i expect Whitby, Jjunju and Venter to stay on and play a bigger part, they always seemed like buys for if we go down. Edwards I feel will stay on and i think a few faces may re-appear a la Beard, Leon, maybe even Lamb and Munday. If Rocky stays on i'm confident we're be at least play offs next season with CK in charge

I hope as many as can, will stay, it's absolutely heartbreaking to see any go, but I cannot blame the ones that do want to continue playing at the level they have so capably shown themselves to deserve this season.

Baptiste will leave but is only going a short distance up the M2.

Don't forget that alot of conference clubs are also releasing players;and looking to replace them with ex-league players; so it may not be that easy for more than 5/6 of our players to 'walk'into other conference sides.

I reckon Jake, Sodge,Clarke and Baptiste will go;and probably Smithy;but even he may find it tough as there are only a finite number of goalkeepers required.

Add to that ,with about 14 full time conference clubs.,half the clubs in the north and thus meaning uprooting;it may not suit all of our(ex) players to go full time or move.

 

There are more players than jobs.

 

That being the case, a few of the current team may just decide to stay put, even on different terms', and give Margate the nucleous of a decent side.

 

A very small number may also show the same loyalty to and as CK.

 

Again, things could be worse-at least we know our fate now and are even just beginning to look forward again

Would it not have been a good idea to have ground shared with them for three seasons, then they could have swapped the sides, we could have played conf sth with there's and they could have gained promotion in our place with the great GAAAAAAAAATE boys.Instead they try to strip our bones like worms in a grave.
