The Members of Margate Football Club Ltd, at an EGM called specifically to determine the immediate future of the Club, voted by overwhelming majority in favour of proposed option D.

Members were keen to see their Football Club return to Hartsdown Park and were prepared to concede Full Conference Status in order to do so.

The view of the Members was then referred to the Club Directors, who ratified the view of the Members, thus confirming that Margate Football club will accept demotion to Conference South returning to Hartsdown Park before that turn of the year.

Further information will be available as developments about the Club are finalised.

An excellent decision - when do we work start on Hartsdown? Only then will I truly believe!

This is all very well (though very disappointing in footballing terms, given our achievements), provided a stadium of any sort is going to be built, and provided it will be sufficient for Conference football again, should we manage to get promoted. Can anyone honestly say that the club and council are near to resolving the point at which proper permission can be issued and work can start? Albeit from a distance, I see no sign of resolution on that aspect whatsoever. I hope we won't be at Ashford so long as to get too far behind the front-runners in the division below...

sorry to hear about going down to conf south but hope to see you again in the near future (2005-2006?)

We might both get promoted which would be even better, which would be mean we wouldn't play each other any way!!!!!!!

Good luck !
