Players staying are: Castle, Thomas, De Souza, and Smith [if the rumour is right that his contract runs until the end of next season].

 

Just a small word of caution before you start making your personal team selection from that lot, Zagreus. "Richard Goddard signs and commits his future to The Saints". Need I say more?

 

Err....that's it for now. Steve Castle is an ex-pro and I am sure that he knows that at least 11 are needed

Talking of season tickets, have you had confirmation that they will permit entry to all cup matches and pre-season friendlies, JkiF? I have to say that Watford Reserves and the XIs from Charlton and Millwall, and, hopefully, Luton and QPR don't do a great deal for me. But then I'm not that keen on PSF's in any event.

 

Cup action would be good this season. I well remember the magnificent cup run last term in the HSC when we beat London Colney and Hoddesdon. The pursuit of silverware!

The ST form has been extensively modified to change all occurrences of '2003' to '2004'. On said form it says 'includes entrance to all cup matches and friendlies' or similar.

AFF, that is the official form from the club. I have no doubt it will be mailed (snail mail?) to existing STH's.

He is probably of the same opinion as me... that last season was among the most disgraceful in the club's history. The league position, and the standard of football was wholly unacceptable.

 

However.

 

Full marks to players and coaching staff alike that we finished the season on a massive high, and qualified for the new Conference set-up. Failure to have done that could have meant sever consequences for the club.

 

And if truth be known, moral amonst the fans now is probably a great deal higher from qualifying the way we did, than if we'd comfortably finished 8th without the need for playing off.

 

I, for one, am right back on the old SACFC bandwagon!!
