Rob, d'ya reckon we could attract players of his calibre now we're in the Conference South?

Those two play off matches in themselves will guarantee average gates of 1000 plus next season, GHA. When you add the mere fact that we are in Conference South, that's up to 1700 and then with all the new teams from the old Southern League what will be coming to t'Park, I reckon we can rely on 2500 or so.

 

When are next season's fixtures to be available?

Chris Piper's been transfer-listed by Daggers. He's the sort of player we should be looking to get in for the new season (imho).

Can't agree, Rob. For the few weeks up until his departure for Farnborough, he played with a real 'couldn't care less' attitude. He may have been played out of position, wide left but that is still unforgiveable in my book. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at Fisher with Lenny, who was a far better player.

I'd still take him back. A few years older and wiser and experience at Conference level, maybe not such a natural goalscorer as Lenny but the sort of player we will need in Conf South. No doubt he will be treading the well-trodden path to Upminster like so many others.

 

Danny Jones, now whatever happened to him?

Picked up bad injury with us while on loan from Enfield. Liked him, very skilful and hardworking. Seem to recall he went from Enfield to Purfleet in the 2001/2 season.

He was at Farnborough for a while, old Jonah. Scored a cracking 25-yarder in one game, if I remember rightly...
