Good result for us today

[Wobbly Wayne rides again]

From a selfish point of view, good to see that the Aldershot didn't manage to get up from the play offs.

Firstly the've got Miller , secondly its a easy decent away game to go to, thirdly they bring a decent following when they visit Stonebridge Road.

 

All in all a decent result for us.

Felt a bit sorry for them , apparently missed all three 'live' penalties .

Bumped into a few thousand of them at a sunny Warwick southbound Service area on our way back from the vase final, which my adopted city won .

All the penalties were saved, with at least two of them by the goal keeper taking one or two steps forward before the ball was kicked.

 

So blatant was the first one that even the Sky commentators remarked upon it.

 

You would think that with three officials with nothing to watch but the penalty taker and the goalkeeper they could get it right occasionally!
