Anyone got any idea what's happening with this competition? Thought Cheshunt were supposed to be playing St. Mag's in the semi tonight but it apparently didn't happen. Is the final still scheduled for one day next week at the Abbey?

Just got back, boyo !! 0-0 after about 45 mins, then an almighty bundle resulting in the game being abandoned.

Re arrranged they should be ashamed of themselves, and thrown out. I aint gonna slander anyone but lots of us boys from the Abbott's saw what went on and to say a so called big club acted like that was downright outrageous.

what i see last night was totally out of order. not even fruitbat after the game could defend his side. some of the cheshunt players were so arrogant, constantly pointing to their ryman league badges and asking the st margretsbury bench what league they are in and that they are sh1t (the fact is the saints should of been 2-0 up).

 

i also see at least two of the cheshunt bench headbutt saints players one of which needs stitches. to be honest i heard some mention of involving the police and i would not blame them.

 

the one thing i will say in cheshunts defence is that someone involved at the club gave the manager a right telling off in front of everyone, telling him that him and his team were a disgrace (he didnt know where to look). i wont go into what else he said but lets say he didnt hold back.

 

i am very disappointed as cheshunt are on paper the best local side in our area and should be the bench mark for our local football. how can any other club aspire to be like them when they are so arrogant and behave like this? i really wanted to play this final and would of liked to test our selves against a now ryman prem side. it now looks like the final will now be played next season, why should this be. hoddesdon pulled out due to cheshunt rejecting countless dates and the saints had to offer them plenty of dates. if the final is carried over until next season then i dont see the point in playing it.

Certainly Not, Sir !!

One of their Lads was sent off for apparently calling a CFC player a 'Black c***', and from thereon most of the CFC lads reacted to every challenge, resulting in a mass brawl, when a CFC man turned round and kicked his opponent.

Naughty from both sides really, I didn't see the 'We are Ryman etc...', but maybe this was also after the original incident.

I also heard that it was most likely that both teams resigned from the competition. If so, I don't know where that leaves the Abbotts !!

Where was this game played Fruitbat? A couple of people I know turned up at Cheshunt but nothing was happening.

It was at St Mugsbury. See Ryan Harris for the "We are Ryman League " bit. Fruitbat missed the bit where all the CFC dugout came out like they were at Waterloo, punching kicking and headbutting everything in a red shirt.

 

Shame really, the heights I guess us ESL/SSML people aspire to.

 

The Abbott's web site has a statement on it today I see.....
