K/Piper admitted that the delay in developing the ground was not the council's fault and lay the blame firmly at the club's door. The KM Extra

as far as i can gather from the open question part of the meeting it looks like this.(1). The joint !0 year groundshare is a no no,as it would tie the club to playing at the crabble solidly for three seasons, leavina completed Hartsdown empty for 2 1/2 seasons. (2) dropping down a league and playing all our games at the crabble or Ashford town. again a no no on financial grounds. (3) Building Hartsdown park with a perminent pitch,a perminent stand down the nursery side leaving the club house for around 4 1/2 months and open as a venue/club. And a temporary stand down the changing room side.Nothing at the tivoli end as it is disputed territory. Portacabins in place for changing rooms ect+new lights. All this in time for the beginning of the new season. Also the 5 aside developement is to go ahead asap. Funding as been in place since january, and plans will be in opposition hands next week. I scowerd the room last night and am as sure as the sun came up this morning MR PIPER WAS NOT IN ATTENDANCE. Down fast are on stand by and hopefully will be able to move in after the share holders meeting in 1st week of june.

although not officially recognised by the club, the Supporters Association is NOT and will not be disbanded!

In the club statement it said that the S/A had withdrawn its financial support from the club. True.

What it didn't say was the that it was withdrawn twice, once at the Christmas period when it looked like the club was on the verge. KP even told ian day to hold onto a £500 donation as even he didn't want to see supporters money going into a black hole,(the money eventually went to the club!) second time was during a meeting at the Northern Belle when it was decided not to pay any more money to the club until the issue of the Stagecoach bill was considered. This was at the exception of John cooppers marathon run.

those that were there (including many that are now on the new committe at the ISA) agreed that the sa should not pay anymore money into the club until it was sorted.

I now believe that IAn day has paid the full outstanding account to stagecoach, this was done by using what was remaining of the s/a funds, plus £800 of his own money! So in actual fact the s/a has paid over £600 towards the stagecoach fiasco and ian the rest.

Watch this space!

nice to clear things up there what a pity others that knew this including many of the isa that were at the northern belle couldnt have just said that instead of giving other people the wrong impression. the isa chairman himself knew about the money and agreed that ian should use the funds to sort out the mess with stagecoach.

when you talk of utilising clubhouse,i assume that is the stand at Hartsdown end.

Whilst i have not been inside ground, it looks to me that this is still standing;and thus i assume the terracing is also intact in front of it.

I could never work out, why, if this is still standing, it could not be utilised as one end as before.

Ok so pitch may move and thus it is further away, but there are plenty of grounds with a stand a distance away from the pitch or a running track inbetween.

What am i getting wrong here.

Why cant this end be used as a 'developed'end. Then 'all',club need to do is build one 500 seater stand ,flodlights(could also be temporary and hired in as per Canterbury floodlit cricket) and as suggested temporary changing rooms, and assumming it is safe, then we are compliant.

So where has that actually got us in two years

at a ground in a worse condition than when we left, a league lower (without getting into a relegation place) and not a lot nearer getting a new ground!

Jimbo, I spoke to another who attended that meeting and he too said that KP was not there. Are you telling us he WAS? If so then thats two people who have said he wasn't there and one who says he was. Surely it cant be that difficult for people who attended to get this correct unanimously. With not being there am not doubting your word (or maybe I am) but why in that case are they saying he wasn't. After all we all know what he looks like so there should be no mistaken identity should there? Am confused as to why there are conflicting reports of his attendance. It does make a difference when a "quote" has been made on what he is supposed to have said if not in attendance.

(1)KP not there. if he was he must have been incognito. (2)Just be happy the club fingers crossed will be back at Hartsdown. The road end is to be demolished in 4/5 months so only there for a short period. (3) since when did The paper mentioned print anything that was upto date. any way i had read the paper on the afternoon prior to the meeting. (4)To me the second most important is the 5 a side development and the income stream it will give the club in its battle to survive,if i remember it was said the five a side plus 1000 through the gates for 28 home matches was a good guide.

The post about K/Piper is a true post, Deserter said that K/P admitted that the club were to blame and not the council for the ground delay, where in the post does it say that he was at the meeting, it was in this week's Thanet Extra.
