After having read this board for the last couple of weeks, I am somewhat puzzled as to why so many members appear to feel the need to write their messages in the vernacular of a cockney barrow boy. I appreciate that many of us, including myself, do not speak the queen's english as it should be spoken, but I am somewhat curious as to why one should take the trouble to translate one's thoughts in such a manner . . .

If, God willing, they happen to survive into adulthood amidst the dirty, mean streets of Hornchurch dodging the drive by shootings and the numerous street gangs that make the place such a no go area for any decent citizen, they may reduce their use of the much maligned apostrophe and gain the ability to type all of the letters of the words that they choose to express themselves with.

 

Until then, I suppose we will have to accept their desperate attempts to turn the leafy suburbia of Hornchurch into the disturbingly fraught and dangerous gangland of their disturbingly fraught and dangerous imaginations . . .

Very true young Dagger me ole' mate, the once quiet, leafy town of Hornchurch has gone down hill rather over the past few years. I put it down to all those pikey council house dwellers from Dagenham that have been forced to move to the area, having been pushed out of their over-grown council slums by masses of Kosovan's asylum seekers. Bless 'em all!!!

'Twas a rebuilding season for us this year, as perhaps next year may be for your good selves. Hope you achieve all that you set out to as, at last, we appear to have a genuine local derby to look forward to in times to come.

 

Don't worry yourself unduly regarding the superbly named 'Chavs', they do tend to grow out of it . . . most of the time.
