I like it,and as you say,is definitely growing on me,i think the whole story "idea" is quite clever and lyrically it's argueably better than original pirate material but you have to put in a bit of effort,whereas with the last album it was musically better,you could just throw it on and relax. Not sure if anybody will understand what i mean but hey,life's a b*tch.

The Mozza single is fantastic, got to agree on Scissor Sisters and The Streets good singles, but I wasn't 100% about what the albums would be like.

 

Saw the Beta Band at the Coronet last night, very, very good. Hardly ever get to see them live but they're always good value. Next stop I am Kloot at the Social, then Graham Coxon in Oxford then Mozza at the Festival Hall. Might still do Benicassim too, if they add some more names to the line up, that one is http://www.fiberfib.com

I still havn't made my mind up on The Streets yet. I like their current single though!!!!!! But Coxy has been playing tracks from their album, and some of them sound the same and just sound really dull!!!!!!

I have both the Scissor Sisters and Streets albums but have only heard them both once, on a PC (so not quite stereo-tastic) and while at work so I can't really judge yet, although the Streets album didn't jump out at me I know it's a grower!
