Contract extentions

Neil Midgley, Peter Smith and Ashley Harrison have all signed one year extensions to their contracts taking them to May 2005 according to the official website.

 

Bit surprised about Smithy and Ash. Thought they might be leaving during the summer.

Was fairly sure about Ash staying, as he mentioned to me a few weeks back that there was an offer on the table. Buzz, not sure, but will his experience help?

Buzz has never got back to being the same player he was before he went to Grays,gives the ball away too easy and lacks a bit of pace.

Buzz may not be the player he was but i don`t think you can judge him on last season, he was injured for most of it. He showed he`s still up for it when he came on as sub against Hornchurch and changed the game.

In Wardy's absence, Buzz is the obvious cover. Great insurance to have when having to get back to thwart a fast striker.

I think he was lacking in a bit of confidence this season and just seemed to want to get rid of the ball. Hope that he starts next season afresh and gains new confidence back on the ball.
