Fa cup/trophy

does anyone know what stage we'll come into the fa cup, will we have to start at an earlier stage? also there are rumours that the fa trophy will be competed between the conference and the conference south/north clubs only, leaving the rest in a comp called the fa shield, anyone heard anything?

Bloody hell....what are trying to do, cheapen the Trophy?

 

I haven't heard of anything but if they have, so be it....Looks like we'll be in a final for next season.....

havent heard anything about an fa shield, but it sounds crap to me. the trophy our equivalent of the fa cup, giving a chance for clubs too big for the vase to get a bit of glory.

my guess would be we would enter the trophy at the qualifying round, and the cup at either the prelim, or the 1q round. your guess is as good as mine though, as i have absolutely no idea how theyr going to shake it up.

they will have to alter it some way, as there are a different number of clubs at step 2 now. iwould imagine there will have to be some 'within division splits', in which case we would presumably get a further bye than other teams in our division.

Last year's div 1 clubs entered at the Preliminary round....

 

Not sure what's happening with the Trophy - seen that rumour about the shield elsewhere. The Trophy is already being rapidly devalued anyway by the Conference teams failing to take it seriously and another pot would reduce it to the level of the Conference league cup.

Yes if the trophy is only for Conference, Conf North & South at least they can guarantee to have a 'conference team' in the final, something that has not been achieved for two years.
