George Borg

Congrats to him..I'm a bit surprised that George didn't taken Terry Glynn with him . All i can hope, for Braintree's sake is that GA is much better at coaching than he was as a player for us .

Can someone tell me what is going on here? First GB is going to America to look after u/18's then I read he's going to Boston United to be assistant manager, now he re-surfaces at Braintree!! Was something going on behind the scenes at BA that we have not been made aware of , like Hill was lined up a long time ago and GB got wind of it?

As far as i know he is still looking after the US under 19's side in June/July.

He only had a two month contract as coach of Boston United.

He is now manager of Braintree !

I doubt it the club is so open that if their was a plan to get rid of GB, knowing UU he would have told us first

Hill would have always been favourite for the Job at Hornchurch, after the incident at Maidenhead we where all descussing if GB was to walk who would be the next manager we all predicted Hilly as he is not only a good friend of people at the club but a top quality manager.

contact was made with GH after GB had resigned....the fact that I live close to GH will be much discussed but the truth is simple...there was no preset GH agenda prior to GB resigning....

Georgie does seem to have changed his mind a few times since resigning from the Urchins camp but I think he's entitled to do the best for himself and his family and Braintree is potentially a big club with obvious ambition...

I know that all the Urchins fans loved Georgie and will wish him luck and its great to see the foto of him and Abbo with big smiles on their faces....they know the score...footballs fickle and change is always around the corner...we're all just passing through this wonderful game...

lets just hope we don't draw him in the FA cup or Trophy.....ha ha ha...good luck boys...

You Better Hope He Does More Coaching Then Playing !

An Intresting Quote From www.braintreetownfc.org

" Still in fine physical shape ‘Abbo’, as he is known, is looking forward to leading the Braintree attack next season. "

If He's Leading Your Attack God Help You !
