Does anybody know if any teams have applied for the ESL from Intermediate level. There was talk of White Ensign and Rayleigh Town at one time.

 

The intermediate sides have a few games left, might pop over to Eastwoodbury Lane on Tuesday 18th as Ensign are at home to White Notley.

White Ensign are at Roots Hall in their Cup Final on Tuesday 11th 7.45pm v Manford Way !

And are back there again on Friday night to play Benfleet in the Southend Charity Cup Final.

I deeply regret to say, that at this moment of time we do not have any applications from Essex Intermediate League teams...but we live in hope. As PBT clarifies by quoting yet another Cup Final - this White Ensign outfit are just totally magic and everyone in their League and in good old Sarfend can be justifiably proud of their achievements over the past few years. They are in a class of their own and I can only hope that progress will be on the cards for them , up the pyramid sooner than later !

Is it three fixtures for each team in the ESL next season then Mr Chairman a la Ryman 2 if the rules allow and, if so, what do the rules say about who picks up the extra home game?

Maybe Enfield will apply, they must qualify, they are not in Essex or Middlesex and their football would survive in mid table of ESL

Incase any other mad fools were thinking of following my lead. I have just learnt from the Mintoo site that White Ensign V White Notley is off tonight because Notley can't raise a team.

Thanks Boroman, but don't agree with your sentiments , its well worth watching White Ensign , now we have run out of time - they beat Benfleet 5-1 in the Southend Charity Cup last Friday , truly this is surely the time to make the transition upwards ?

If League's continue to insist on nicking our clubs then we'll all have plenty of time to go shopping !

I think sideways moves should be allowed if there is a strong geographical justification. If the clubs getting promoted and relegated cause a geographical shift in the composition of a league, this needs to be sorted out without waiting for the geographically anomalous club to get promoted or relegated. However, this is surely sufficiently catered for by the swap rule.
