I would like to congratulate The saints for nearly giving me a heart attack (Only Joking) i am so pleased with that result but i do feel a little bit sorry for the Bedford fans and players from being 3-1 up to 4-3 down then 4-4 the 5-4 to us. and i feel a bit sorry for the Lewes fans that travelled all this way to watch lewes but actually watched us but atleast they had a fantastic game to watch. but we should of had about 3 penalties. the referee was poor and the atmosphere in the ground was great and especially in the end we were standing in the second half. i have never sung and celebrated that much in one game.i was pleased to hear that their was fans from differant teams there today including Hitchin Hornchurch Canvey Bishop Stortford (And Lewes <img src="/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />)

I was there, would have died of a heart attack if I followed either team.

 

Defensively both teams were a bit lax, but St Albans did have 2 or 3 clear penalties denied and on balance deserved the win, especially after coming back so strongly at half time. They may have also have spotted that the Bedford Keeper was a bit suspect on crosses.

 

The winning goal was special and it was a real battle to the death, well done saints and I guess I'll be back at Bedford next season with the Chesh.
