Are We A Complete Joke ?

Don't know how many people have got the MFC email, but its looks like we're a complete joke

the conference wouldnt give us a reply on a ground share

we've got a 10 year ground share proposal

why is one of the options sharing at ashford (!) or dover when the other is returning to hartsdown park?

Jay and Porter have left and it notes that basically we dont know whos gonna be playing for us next season, cos there all on one year contracts, how are we ever meant to make any money selling players?

and now as well margate want to form a new SA, dont they care about any of us anymore.

its all very disheartening stuff indeed, and at the moment, im well and truly [***!!***] off

I suspect it is what's called reality. Still a faint hope but that's all and in honesty that probably the best we could have hoped for. Having never personally been part of an official SA it just seems very sad that there exists such animosity. Oh well, guess it's wait for the EGM announcement and go forward from there.

We keep taking one step forward and two steps back.Nothing changes. Its all just put down in another way every time. Still the same old stalemate and I too am totally pissed off with all this. Some film producer should look into making a film about our this saga we have found ourselves in.

I've read it thouroughly and its no different to that that has been said previously, its just put in a different way. In fact its worse because we were all anticipating a decision to get the ground built but now its gone back to ground sharing so the details are far from finalised and that is not progress in my book. We still have hopes for survival of this club, yes, and thats a good thing but progress has NOT been made. We are walking backwards. If kp had all the details to hand and in proper order with the funders, builders and like then a "yes" from the council is all that is required surely. Either we are not ready yet again to advance or as mentioned on numerous occasions by me the council won't budge. Either way we are not progressing. After 2 years we should be!

Maybe the council finally have said yes but its to late to start in the conference next season, which is why the club applied for another groundshare. Who knows maybe the conference will help us out let us have a short groundshare while the minimum required work is carried out at hartsdown and we get both a new ground and conference football. Having said that Id be just as happy to watch conference south at smaller stadium next year. Anything as long as its hartsdown

If the council had given us to go-ahead, and I'm dubious that they have, then all we need is the conference to move some goal posts, as we are told that the builders are unique in that they work faster than most but with the same quality. Therefore if the conference can allow us to build NOW and check on things nearer the 2004/5 season and if building works are on schedule then maybe a light at the end of this long long tunnel will be seen.

The press release did not go too far away from what KP said at the presentations on the last day. He has consistently told it like it is in my opinion.

Whatever happens it is my belief that the club is still trying as best they can to achieve the best possible outcome from what has been an utterly dismal situation, and will continue to do so.

It is heartbreaking to hear of good players like Saunders and Porter leave, but any team in any position goes through this in the close season. It will be harder and harder if we lose any more, but we must hold on to the fact that the struggle continues, and continue to support our club.

I for one look forward to the days when we can get our sense of humour back and banter with the best of them. Also when we can put this behind us and get back to discussing football again. Standing on the terrace of Hartsdown in a blue shirt and cheering would not come amiss either.

Come on the Gate!

seen somwhere that The fixtures come out on the 31st may so untill they do sit back & let Melvin & Tam take the strain, they have put there names forward to be the Contractors, what a joke those 2 are, was it not them who proposed that Ian & Dave go to the council in the first place what a stitch-up.
