I am very disapointed to see some of the players being released but in JK and Ollie's case not being able to commit then fair enough.

 

I can not understand putting Danny Kerrigan on the transfer list as I thought he was one the most consistent performers this year.

 

I trust that they know what they are doing but I fear a similar scenario to the start of this season where the team is pretty much all knew and needs time to gel.

 

All the best to all the guys who are leaving and a special mention to Vinnie for giving me the memory of his goal against Darlo.

It was always gonna happen....but it's still a shock!!!!

 

Gary needs to build his team (not inherit GB's) and if we are letting quality players like JK leave we must have some superb players signing. Can't wait for next season!

aside ...The Grays fans thought JK was our best player and the Canvey fans couldn't believe we had paid them large amounts of cash for BB.

i really cant belive this...i understand gary needs his own players but give the others more then 5 matches ! just as we seemed to be building a good side/squad it gets torn up, ok i agree with rowland,abbott etc getting released but putting kerrighan and maynard on the list is ridiculous. Maynard was supposed to be the next big thing ! and kerrighan has been outstanding, along with ollie and vinnie, also i can honestly say that no one will pay what we paid to take bertie off our hands (so this seems like another lost cause)

but im sure he knows what his doing.. <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

 

also does anybody know if mark venus has got a telegram from the queen yet ? if not (i think his approaching it) <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

p.s if you wanna make me happy Garry....buy jeff minton <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I don't think MV is that old KLF <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />, I don't actually really care about the age of the players we sign as long as they are of a much...much higher standard than the last over 38 year old <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />. Plus watching MV on the touch line he looks very (physically) fit !

 

Maybe misguided but i still have hopes of Bertie being at the Urchins next season, if no one comes in for him (all depends on the price) and he remains injury free before pre season then i really think he is a talent that can prove himself !

im not too sure how old venus is but if its the same one who played for ipswitch in the early 90's he cant be too young, i suppose age isnt much aslong as there good but its just so disapointing selling and releasing youngsters like bradley, maynard etc and buying 'old' players who may have the experaince but wont have another season left in them ie(keith rowland, bradley allen) both well known players who just couldnt cut it....still we shall see <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Funny, but I thought I saw Jeff Minton in our bar on Monday. Of course, he might just have been down our way to watch the Bryco Cup Final! Or he might have been a dopleganger? mark venus is our new player coach.....

 

it is likely that he will feature more from the touchline than from the 18 yard box...as you have already seen....

 

garry hill has appointed him as his No 2......shall we doubt their ability....???

 

we are talking about a manager here that has achieved enormous success in non league footie...

 

as always....lets judge him on results...

Totally true

 

We had this situation last season when players such as Joppo, Rizzo, Gary Kimble and Barrie Fox went. People asked why we let these players go...BUT...can anyone truly say that they would swap them for the players that came in ?

 

The Team keeps on getting better so why are we to doubt that the players who come in will be better and the team we be better for them !

Very true, but a settled team works wonders for league positions.
