Max Points - from a different angle

OK, I know I said I wasn't going to post about this again...

...but I realised there was another way of looking at the results of the top seven teams since 30 Mar (when Gary originally posted the Max Points Table).

The following table lists the number of games to be played (as at 30 March),

the potential max. points from those games,

and the points actually taken.

The teams are then ordered by success rate (points/max points):

[Games..Max Points...Points...Success rate]

1. Slough....... 8 24 22 92%

2. Staines...... 7 21 16 76%

3. Hampton.... 6 18 12 67% *

4. Lewes........ 7 21 14 67% *

5. Worthing... 11 33 22 67% *

6. Dulwich...... 7 21. 9 43%

7. Windsor...... 7 21. 8 38%

I think all Rebels - players and fans alike - can be justifiably proud of this statistic.

Only two points dropped, against Worthing, and Slough remained the only one of the seven to be unbeaten over the period.

You can't help thinking 'what if', can you?

Notice that Slough Town won more games and scored more goals than any team in Ryman D1S, apart from Lewes, yet finished 4th.

If we'd beaten Casuals, we'd be second... (although that does assume that the players would have had the same success subsequently without the 'kicking' Eddie must have given them after that Casuals game!)

Here's to a stress-free summer (PLEEEEEASE, Mr Deaner!) and further success next season

[* teams on equal success rates ranked by fewest number of games played to achieve that success.

Not sure if this is correct way to order them, but it suits me!]
