I see the "git" won it for the second year running last night, beating Folkestone 2-1. Looks like we will need to beat them next season to stop them matching our record of 3 successive wins!!

The KSC is a nice end-of-season affair, but with 754 there last night, and the game played midweek on an evening, the competition really is a sad joke these days and only worth mentioning if you win it.

I agree to a certain extent Stu... it is miles better when played on the May Bank Holiday, like it was every time during our three-in-a-row winning streak. In particular, our 5-0 mauling of Margate at Hartsdown the week after our Ryman championship success was the superb icing on the cake to a brilliant season.

However, I'd still like to think that the competition has a little value, and with Margate set for a possible three final wins in a row next year, it'd be nice if we could improve on our drab efforts for the last two seasons.

The point is we should have the six points and the cup. We have had an excellent season and finishing it off with some silverware would have been just reward for players and supporters.

I dont think you can judge the value of the competition by the numbers through the gate, I would like to think if we had been there then the attendance would have been better.

Anyway congratulations to Margate, for all their troubles off the field they have had another good mid table season and won the cup again.

Well, it doesn't seem too important, but then again how many people would turn down another chance to beat Margate? I definately wouldn't.
