Why please is this, what makes you think they came for a draw?

Now forgive me if I'm wrong but I am on the assumption that you were all EFC fans before ETFC......did you ever say you need to leave after two seasons in the Isthmian league?

When are you going to realise your level now and that's it?

What gave away the fact that Sawbo came for a draw was the way in which they wasted time from the very beginning of the match (goalkeeper & defenders kicking the ball away and then taking an eternity to retrieve it and restart the game). All they needed was the point so why shouldn't they do this? The problem is that you combine time-wasting with an awful pitch and then you get a poor spectacle.

I'm a little confused as to how you can compare the situations of EFC in the Isthmian and ETFC now. I see no problem with leaving for a potentially less competitive league with better pitches and sponsorship prospects. Allied to this it may also help to keep the supporters interested with a selection of new opponents and grounds. Our promotion prospects would certainly be no worse in Ryman 2.

"When are we going to realise our level???!". There can be little argument that as a club we have the greatest potential of any in the ESL. I point to the fact that about 350 home fans turned up on a tuesday night. There is little doubt that we will eventually have 1,000+ attending home games when we are higher up the pyramid - the fan base is there lurking in the borough of enfield. The problem is that we want to be at the pinnacle of non-league football yesterday. With all due respect there is no other club in the ESL who can even dream of the support we will eventually attract. Maybe the ESL was 'our level' a couple of years back but we are going places whether you like it or not!

<img src="/images/graemlins/afro.gif" alt="" /> And you have some very fickle supporters you blame everyone if it ain't the refs fault or the opposition, its the weather the pitch, or jubbsy or nickynoc, or me auntie Iris, or when your really struggling for someone to blame its Leyton's fault, fourth place proves you ain't good enough. <img src="/images/graemlins/elephant.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/dancingman.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/dancingman.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/elephant.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" />

I must admit that I am sometimes surprised how quickly such excuses are aired in this forum. On the other hand, most of the supporters seem to have a sensible balance between supporting Enfield Town and giving credit to the opponents where it is due.

Like all teams we blame the officials when they make mistakes and, lt's face it, at this level they make lots. The pitch has certainly been a problem this year and has not suited our style of play. no one blames the weather (unless a game is called off and we end up being dragged around the shops by the missus instead) and no one has blamed Leyton or you for our final placing this season. We haven't performed as well as we have in the last two seasons but you have to give credit to other teams. THEY HAVE IMPROVED and this has led to a great end to the season. THe ESL is definately stronger than two years ago. Just look at how well some of our teams have done in cup competitions.

However, I do blame nicknoc, jubbsy and all the other twats who claim to support Leyton for reducing the quality of the human race. The rest of us would be far better off without you.

How can you say the pitch doesn't suit your long ball style. All you do is pump the ball to Billy cove and hope he flicks them on to clarke and smithy to chase. If covey doesn't win the flicks you just pump it directly over the top for clarke and smithy. Any pitch suits this sort off play.

<img src="/images/graemlins/afro.gif" alt="" />I am the piss artist formally known as satan.I am making a general point the pitches the refs the weather, ie the wind even themselves out over a season, etfc have underachieved albeit management, playing staff, fourth place ain't good enough for your ambitions. Lovely stuff (ugly staf)you really need to chill out before you blow a fuse, or see the doctor and get some HRT. <img src="/images/graemlins/elephant.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/dancingman.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/dancingman.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/elephant.gif" alt="" />

I was disappointed at some of the songs last night, i.e. the references to where we might be playing next year. There is no need for that.

IM please expand - you lost me on that one

"Goodbye to the ESL" and one about we're going to the Ryman, you're not, that sort of thing.

Santa, my old china, how are you.

I think I need to lie down, as I actually find myself agreeing with you. ETFC have definitely underachieved this season, for a variety of reasons, and yes, fourth place isn't good enough for our ambitions.

As for referees and their assistants, yes this season they have been poor. In fact I think refereeing standards have declined each year since we entered the league. But, and it's a big but, I don't think they are biased against us, just very poor.

At the end of the day though, with all due respect to Mr Chairman, we are at a very low level of the non league pyramid, so why should we expect Premiership officials? In fact, Mr D'Urso anyone?

That's all I Have to say on the subject. I'm off for that lie down now.
