If it's going to be 4th in the league, then 4th it is. We gained enough points for 4th place and not enough for 3rd, 2nd or even 1st. That's the way it will be recorded in years to come. The championship is played over a whole season and not just the last game when the pressure was on.

Great to see and hear the reception the team got after the game, especially Stuart who unfortunately missed the penalty. As I was part of the team who put the goal up last night, then I apologise. Probably rammed it into the socket too hard!

There have been two teams this year, those on the pitch and the other one who worked tremendously hard off it. It just so happens that those off the field results have shaded those on played on it.

It is only three years since the club was formed and a hell of a lot of work has been carried out. Let's look forward to the final on Monday and competing as best we can in whatever league we play in next season. If it is Ryman 2 or ESL, then so be it.

A crowd of over 360 for a Tuesday evening - brilliant. Looks like we will need to use all the turnstiles next season!

If you lot don't think that the surface that you play on matters....you keep believing it.

The worse the pitch ,the more of a leveler it becomes.

When a player can't run with the ball, without it bouncing head-hight off diverts, and dust flying in peoples faces. It's ceases to be football, and becomes a farce.

Yes, you're right to say it's the same for both teams...but as most oppossing sides coming to our ground play a 'physical/long ball counter attack game'....and Town try to lay the ball about....who do you think is hindered most.??

lovely stuff ilford have the worst pitch in the league, but not once have i heard a fan complain about their teams performance, yes they say it is bad and are embarassed but still never blamed it on a loss.

also ilford will finish 2nd and have the worst pitch what does that say?

'Prickynoc' you're a cartoon Essex loudmouth...NIL class..NIL modesty...NIL brain cells.

Revenge WILL be ours....Our clubs going to achieve success in the longterm.

I used to follow a club that my brother played for until he retied....Believe me,you can quickly lose interest in a club once your relative stops playing. ....No names ,no packdrill. Actually I am not from Essex, I am an East Londoner born and bred, as for playing relatives, the boy and a number of others have been part of a team that has won three promotions in three years so don't knock him, so who will you be supporting next year then after finishing in fourth place? don't know about you but saturday I will be celebrating Leyton's third promotion on the trot in our clubs new million pound plus facility, what will you be doing cleaning up the dog poo on your pitch.

Why please is this, what makes you think they came for a draw?

Now forgive me if I'm wrong but I am on the assumption that you were all EFC fans before ETFC......did you ever say you need to leave after two seasons in the Isthmian league?

When are you going to realise your level now and that's it?

What gave away the fact that Sawbo came for a draw was the way in which they wasted time from the very beginning of the match (goalkeeper & defenders kicking the ball away and then taking an eternity to retrieve it and restart the game). All they needed was the point so why shouldn't they do this? The problem is that you combine time-wasting with an awful pitch and then you get a poor spectacle.

I'm a little confused as to how you can compare the situations of EFC in the Isthmian and ETFC now. I see no problem with leaving for a potentially less competitive league with better pitches and sponsorship prospects. Allied to this it may also help to keep the supporters interested with a selection of new opponents and grounds. Our promotion prospects would certainly be no worse in Ryman 2.

"When are we going to realise our level???!". There can be little argument that as a club we have the greatest potential of any in the ESL. I point to the fact that about 350 home fans turned up on a tuesday night. There is little doubt that we will eventually have 1,000+ attending home games when we are higher up the pyramid - the fan base is there lurking in the borough of enfield. The problem is that we want to be at the pinnacle of non-league football yesterday. With all due respect there is no other club in the ESL who can even dream of the support we will eventually attract. Maybe the ESL was 'our level' a couple of years back but we are going places whether you like it or not!

UNLESS DOGS IN ENFIELD CAN POLE-VAULT OVER SIX-FOOT FENCES OR BIG NEW STANDS,I DON'T THINK WE'LL BE TROUBLED BY DOG POO.

I was disappointed at some of the songs last night, i.e. the references to where we might be playing next year. There is no need for that.

IM please expand - you lost me on that one
(agree about pressure in the second half; there was more pressure in my blood system than from Town in the second 45)

Yeah and the lurcher probably had far more intelligence than the Leyton fan base put together. Let's face it, even a shitzu would jump an eight foot fence to get away from you you numpty!

I wish you well, and I hope one day we will join you. We think that the Abbey has a big market to be tapped, it's a case of education, promotion and getting their dam bums on our seats.....and keeping them!
Gonzo I wish ETFC well, I think though that some of the comments directed against you seem to come from the apparent arrogance of some of your people. I'm not going to go into this cos I know I will start some people off, that's what these forums do.
Good luck
