No, definitely Staines. Here's how the report described it (and my memory was right in one respect in that it wasn't a corner - there were not the bodies in the box you get with a corner).

ok thats not the one im thinking of. Mine was definitely a long ball from midfield and only Hodges and the goalie were anywhere neare it. Well to be truthful the goalie wasnt anywhere near it either

Player: Hodges he keeps on scoring goals. If Smurf and Daly counted as one person they would be very close because once they started playing together we improved dramatically.

 

Goal: Hodges at staines. It is what Andy has been trying to do forever and it made BFR flinch.

 

Best home game: Lewes. The type of game Slough never win. We never hold on. But we did. Awesome effort.

 

Best away game: Windsor. Nuff said.

 

Best performance: Dulwich (away). Went there expecting to get nothing and dominated the game for long periods. Joyous. Made it well worth travelling through Beirut esque landscapes to get there.

 

Worst performance: I wonder? Casuals.

 

Worst blunder: Ad Browne sending off at home to Dulwich after three minutes. Ruined the game.

 

Best moment: So many to chose from. Danny Steer's goal against the casuals, Chuck Martini having the ball, Gary asking why welling were holding it in the corner, Radders shouting that he was Fossies biggest fan before the penalty save. Maybe I would opt for Riddell scoring against Maidenhead.

 

Worst moment: the way I felt when the Casuals scored a fourth.

 

Best team: The Capital League side? Up till now Worthing. Hope that changes.

 

Best fans: Has to be Egham.

lets be brief a bit of sneaky work at college

1 player of season. hodge

2 goal of season. boots iceing on the cake chip over the keeper off his line

3 best home game. close one lewes at home or windsor away

4 best away game. it has be windsor

5 best performance. windsor again surely or egham for coming back twice from the jaws of deafeat

6 worst performance. walton and hersham in the rain, even worse than corinthion casuals. and that had to bad to. both total disasters.

7 worst blunders. some reffering decisions. it takes a brave man to mention this as its happened several times in my appinion.

8 making all the games including friendlys cup and league games. plus a handful of reserve fixtures sadly not all because of college commitments.

9 worst moment. nearly missing the coach to met police and possibly being short changed in that big resteraunt. it only takes a second to lose conserntration. but nice tucker though it bests the burgers that were sold out before half time. also paying the full £6 of which there were no stuedent reductions to me and domonic i believe.

what an ilaition for the walkers to be metionted on the tanoy and on the pitch i belive.
