How great it was to get a last minute equaliser at the Lane yesterday, to take the shine off Arsenal's triumph!!?

 

Okay, so they've still won the championship, but they had that sewn up weeks ago. All this [****!!****] about "winning it at the Lane" doesn't really ring true to me. They won it over the previous 32 matches. <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

 

A few pointers...

 

1. "Winning the Championship at WHL" would suggest that it was all or nothing on that game (as in '71). Hardly. They still had another four games after yesterday to snatch their title-winning point.

 

2. 2-0 up and cruising against a side fifth from bottom, and ending up with a 2-2 draw is not exactly impressive stuff. Didn't they do the same against Bolton last season? Yesterday must have been one of their worst results of the season!!

 

3. Had this choking of a 2-goal lead against a team down the bottom happened three weeks ago, the Highbury Library would have been less than happy, and worried they were going to choke the league again! The papers would have been all Spurs!!

 

4. You'll still never win the Champions League.

 

5. I fking hate Woolwich!!

 

6. That'll do til I think of some more!!

 

TV Commentator: "The script is written for Arsenal today. It's not a matter of if Terry Henry scores... it's when."

 

Seen him three times over the last month (vs. Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs)... looks nothing special to me.
