Reserves 8 (eight) v 1 Bowers United

Champagne football at times out there today. After a quiet opening twenty minutes the Reserves knocked in five before half time.

 

Adam Smith got the first, Atkinson the second, Cogger ran through their defence from the half-way line for the third, Parsons the fourth, and Cogger tapped in the fifth.

 

Second half was a bit of an anti-climax after that, but Cogger clipped one in for his hat-trick, much to the delight of his female fan club, and Bowers got one back after an error by a central defender.

 

Bowers then went down to 10 men after a sending-off and we were off again. Cogger got his fourth with a neat little header and Tyrone London thumped one in (with his head) at the back post to make it eight.

 

Canvey won today so the league title looks unlikely now, but there is still the big game on Wednesday, Cup Final against Dag & Red, ko 7:30.

Great performance, Rob. Well done to everyone concerned. From what I can make out, there is going to be quite a crowd going on Wednesday for the FBT final against Dagenham. What are the chances of eclipsing the 123 attendance at the Lemsford game?
