Slough 0-1 Bracknell

The two planks were two podgy skinheads who left the ground quickly after the final whistle. Dont think they were behind the goal with the real Bracknell supporters.

Thought this may happen about how important it was to us. Yes we did not to win, but not at the cost of inujury. Good luck to Bracknell in the final - if we don't get top six at the end of the season we'll look back at this game and regret not playing Daly and Hodgy then.

I agree with Gary, I thought Steer should have come in for Haddow, Hyatt for Wilkinson and Williams for Hakki and Riddell for Chopper. These lads coming in are good players and I think a few of them played when we beat Bracknell at home. Maybe they are not as good as the players chosen ahead of them for the match, but they were fresh after not being involved Saturday and Monday and would have been more effective in my opinion.

Not that we didn't care, Jeff, we wanted to go to Wycombe. It's just that it's not the end of the world. It's disappointing however that it was obvious that the players didn't have the right attitude towards the game, but that's not Bracknell's fault. Bracknell played well and deserved to win, and good luck in the final. I'd much rather still be in the competition than out (we just didn't want extra-time and a replay !)

I know who you mean re the planks. They don't go to many away games (in fact, maybe this was one of the only ones of the season) and we don't really know them so I can't comment. Still, you are right, the true Bracknell fans are a sporting lot, as you may have noticed when all of us gave Alan Judge a rousing applause after getting up after hurting himself in making that 2nd half interception.

I didn't want a replay either...I am on holiday next week!

What a waste of chops.

Our fans (me included)and players never really got into it. The big thing for me is that we finally beat Maidenhead and get nothing for it. I think more or less everyone should have been rested. My team would have been: Judge, Browne, Moller, Gyoury, Carbon,Riddell, Williams, Hyatt, Steer, Miller and Boot.

I think ambivalence was the problem. The fans did not know whether to care and from the team selection it was uncertain how bothered the management were.

Having said that we did try to win the game but the front two just did not work.

At the end of the season if we are top six I won't give this match a second thought. But if we finish seventh matches against Bracknell will have proved very costly.

Now for Whyteleafe, come on you Rebels.

Another season of winning nothing, best we can hope for is 6th place in Ryman Div. 1 South.

Now it seams the Berks and Bucks Cup is not worth winning, why is this? At the start of the season this was one of only two competitions that we had a chance of winning, so why did we not really try? especially as we had reached the semi-final and were playing a team we could have beaten. But as usual the fans are let down. Would'nt it have been great to have had a Cup Final at the end of the season. It was only one more game, surely not too much to ask.

One final point last nights game truly showed how much we rely on Hodge and Daly. Without their leadership some of the others put in dreadful performances, not worthy of the shirt.
