Goalkeepers

I understand from reading Roys notes in a recent programme that the club now have three keepers registered. In the programme he goes on to say "this means we would not encounter the problem we had a couple of seasons ago when Mautone was sent off", I believe Wilko had to go in goal non that occasion. So why is it in these crutial stages we do not have a keeper on the bench? as we seldom us all our subs, would this not be sensible.

By the way great game yesterday by Fozzie.

it comes down to managerial choice at the end of the day. If Eddie would rather have five outfield players on the bench to give him more options then fair enough. Of course this does risk us being caught out without a keeper if Fossie were to get injured or be sent off.

One thing I would say about that is that although Eddie picks five outfield subs you always knew that if he were to use three on Monday, you could guess who they would be (ie. Miller, Williams and Riddell who he did use). Steer and Hyatt espacially seem to be there to make up the numbers and hardly ever get on so why not replace one of them with a goalkeeper during the crucial games.

It was plain that Slough were getting Windsor seriously worried, but I didn't realise how worried...
