Well done today

Well done. You deserved it today. No excuses we were crap and were going through the motions and you battled and made life very difficult for us.

Could and should have been more than 2-0 if Hockton had taken his chances.

Anyway best of luck for the rest of the season and again well done.

That's very sporting of you Yellow and of course u r totally RIGHT! Congrats to Canvey too on winning the league, I don't think anyone would argue you deserve the title. I am sure you folks will understand that we couldn't stick around to see you get the Trophy though - I felt sure I had left my toaster plugged in being in a hurry to get to Park Lane today...

Well with the bar being closed until after the celebrations I don't blame you for leaving!

No excuses today. we were terrible and didn't want to know. There was no atmosphere, about four or five of us including myself were making some attempt at singing but the atmosphere was flat.

Credit to ricay, they wanted it more than us. Would have been interesting though to see how we would have done if we had, had something to play for. We definitely looked lethargic (too much beer perhaps)

Gazza, was you the ricay fan getting into the taxi after the game that several of our fans were giving a bit of banter to?

Not a criticism, but I expected a lot more ricay fans to turn up. Considering it was a local derby played on a Bank Holiday and for once you guys had something to play for I expected around 200/250 ricay fans to turn up.

Can't have been more than 50/60. A bit sad considering in the past you've brought a lot more for fixtures that have been fairly meaningless.

i think we had more than that..we had about that many behind the goal and about another 20 or 30 down the side..perhaps the mid morning kick off had something to do with it or perhaps a few feared the worst and didnt make the trip (lol). Not a criticism but its a bit rich for any comment about crowds when yours are so [****!!****] considering the success you have had.

Yellow, your away support isn't all that. For example, U took very little to Kettering (Okay so Kettering isn't down the road but...). The Kettering supporters there said that us and Hornchurch have taken the most to that ground. So considering your position in the league, don't you think that is more disapointing than a team struggling to get out of the bottom 4 taking 70 people to Canvey?

Even now some of your supporters are crying off next seasons away games because of the distances to be travelled, if ya read the Urchins forum.

Just an observation really not a criticism.

I myself didn't go to Kettering, not because of the distance but because I had to make preparations for my holiday the following week.

I won't be able to make every Conference away game next season because firstly I don't drive, secondly for midweek games it's difficult to get time off work and thirdly how ever much I love football and Canvey Island FC, I do have a life away from football and on some occassions don't particularly want to be sitting on a coach coming back from Macclesfield at 9pm on a Saturday night when I could be out with my mates.

Right, that got that off my chest! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

50/60, have a look people and you would have seen 150/200 Billericay. Canvey support was absolute [****!!****]. I take you back a few seasons ago when both teams fortunes were in reverse. Again on Easter Monday, Billericay needing a win for promotion, Canvey needing a win to stave off relegation. The difference in atmosphere was in total contrast, we won 2-1. Canvey have never been, and will never ever be, a bigger club than us.

Congratulations to the Blues on what I have heard was a No1 performance at Canvey and we need to take this into our last 3 games of the season which are all big 6 pointers.

Let's get a big following for our next two home games and our final game at Northwood and fingers crossed we will have another week of the season left after 1st May as we challenge for our place in the new Conference South by taking part in the play offs.

Come on you Blues, as I said at the start of the season the slogan is the 'Futures bright the futures Blue and White'
