Obviously nothing official but looking around the other forums rumours are circulating that it will be a one off game with the team with the most points at home, lets just hope we wont have to worry about all that!

It is pretty crazy that one club puts out information about the play-off in its programme (Staines - according to a post on their forum) and yet we are still oblivious as to whether or not this is actually going to happen. Congratulations to all of the powers that be for clearing this one up!

 

Take it then the Ryman League didn't carry out its threat to call off the fixtures for any clubs who refused to pay the £750 to pay for the costs of the restructuring business.

Apart from the fact that I think the proposed playoffs are totally biased towards the Southern Leage, and that the whole proposal is a mess because it keeps the existing league names/structures, rather than throwing it all out and doing a proper restructure.

 

1) Who has suggested that there will be no playoff? Or is this just an unfounded roumour?

 

2) The Tonykemster site states that for the playoff for the first place teams the home team will be decided by drawing lots. I would assume that the same is true for the Isthmian league 7th place teams and the Southern league 8th place teams.

 

are you aware that

1)Champions of 1st Division North will play the Champions of 1st Division South. Home club to be determined by the drawing of lots

2) Winner of this match is away to 14th place premier league team

3) winner of this match plays winner of 17th vs 18th playoff for conference south position (step2)

what ever happened to placing the top sides in the higher division, the next group of sides in the new premier divisions, and tehr est in the new feeders?

thats exactly what is supposed to happen -

a) top 13 from NPL, Ryman and Southern (or relegated sides as appropriate) plus 5 play off places form the 44 teams in the 2 regional conference sides. (step 2)

9 teams in NPL premier

top 7 SL1 East

top 7 SL1 west

top 6 Ryman League 1 N

top 6 Ryman league 1 S

top 13 NPL 1

Playoff Southern league 8th place (east v west)

Playoff Ryman league 7th place (North v south)

 

Form the step 3 (3 premier leagues of 22 teams)

(subject to step 2 playoff being won by a div 1 team )

but my point was why should windsor need to have three playoff games just to get in the conference south? surely that place should go the to the next team down the ryman premier table?
