Whats the point of having stewards? If they are not going to sort out the youthful element who give our supporters a poor reputation.

Personally, I think it's an important thing for US, as a club [which includes its supporters, as Unc says "are the club"]to make as many friends as possible among the football community.

The other users on this forum are just like us, and deserve to be treated with respect for being non-league footie fans. Same in real life.

 

Did you read the letters from Tranmere and Darlington that were published in the prog? Made me feel proud to be a supporter of HFC, and the Tranmere one in particular said they were made welcome by us and admitted we deserved to win. Tranny supporters came back on line - weeks later - and said they had been keeping tabs on our results since we played them, and wished us well.

 

And personally, I didn't come to watch Non-league football for all that ultra-partisan rubbish. That's Millwall, Cardiff & Aldershot's territory - and everyone hates 'em because of it.

Banter is good - intelligent banter better...but you've got to be able to shake your opposition by the hand after the match.

 

Finally, I dont want this club to have police patrolling the track perimeter. I like the fact that we can "police" ourselves....and do you know how much football clubs pay for police presence? [Yes....they pay for it!!] It's not for free! And people wonder why these clubs have less money to spend on players or supporters facilities, or why their ticket prices are dearer etc..

Same with stewarding costs!

I don't mind the few expleatives within the context of a chant, but calling an opposing player a C..T, is not welcoming to full paying fans, whether they are home or away support.
